Nanaimo Child Development Centre (CDC)

The Nanaimo CDC is a not-for-profit organization providing individualized services for children with developmental needs,from birth to age 19, and their families.

Over the last 25
years, Harmony Nanaimo has supported CDC’s efforts with over $30,000 contributed from our ticket sales and donations from our members.

Support for Young Musicians

Each year, Harmony Nanaimo invites applications from local schools for the awarding of a music education scholarship.

In 2024, jazz vocalist Lauren Racz was the winner of a $1,000 scholarship. Lauren is a student at the Wellington Academy in Nanaimo. Her talent has been recognized in competition at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival at the University of Idaho. She performed at the 2024 Harmony Nanaimo Christmas-season concerts in Nanaimo and Qualicum Beach.
