Together in Song

Welcome to Harmony Nanaimo!

Both of our choruses are taking part in the
Nanaimo Sings! choral festival, taking place at St. Andrew's United Church from April 4 through April 6, 2025.

Rising Tide is scheduled to perform at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4. The Tidesmen are part of the final concert at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 6. The final concert also features Island Bel Canto and the Malaspina choir. Tickets for the festival or individual events are available on the
Nanaimo Sings! website.

Harmony Nanaimo is a member and supporter of
Nanaimo Sings!, an organization that promotes choral singing and presents quality choral events.

Harmony Nanaimo, also known as the Nanaimo chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, has been singing and serving Central Island communities for more than 50 years. Our style of a cappella singing (without instruments) takes in a wide range of popular musical selections.

We have two choruses and numerous quartets. The photo above shows members of the Tidesmen Chorus and the Rising Tide All Voices Chorus at our show in Qualicum Beach in December 2023, with Mac Dallman leading an audience singalong
.

Both choruses practice every week. If you are interested in singing and would like to see us in rehearsal, please contact Sheila or Ian as shown at the bottom of this page.

Harmony Nanaimo is a chapter of the international
Barbershop Harmony Society, joining 14,000 other society members across North America. We are active within the Society's Evergreen District (Pacific Northwest), and have regular musical meetings with South Island Harmony, our sister chapter in Victoria, B.C.
